Can the color of the oil reflect the performance of the oil?
The color of engine oil depends on the formula of base oil and additives. Different base oil and additive formulations will make the engine oil show different shades of color.
The performance of engine oil is evaluated through a series of engine bench tests and real vehicle road tests. These tests test the performance of engine oil from oxidation, corrosion, sediment, adhesive ring, sludge, scratch, wear and other aspects.
Is the blackened oil inferior?
Xiaobian can definitely tell you NO! Some excellent engine oils contain additives that can dissolve the carbon deposits in the engine, so they are easy to blacken, but have no effect on the performance of the engine oil.
Why do you need to change the oil regularly?
First of all, the oil will gradually deteriorate during operation. Some combustion by-products, such as water, acid substances, soot, carbon deposition, etc., fuel dilution, high temperature oxidation of the oil itself, dust and metal particles, will cause the oil to deteriorate.
Secondly, the additives in the oil will be consumed continuously with the use process. If the engine oil is changed irregularly, the deteriorated engine oil will reduce the protective effect on the anti-wear of the engine, thus causing problems in your car.
Regular oil replacement can not only discharge pollutants, but also ensure that the components in the oil remain at a reasonable level.
Why is the oil discharged very thin when the oil is changed?
The oil change is usually carried out when the engine is running, and the viscosity of the oil decreases with the increase of temperature. Therefore, the viscosity of the oil with higher temperature is lower than that of the oil at normal temperature, which is a normal phenomenon. However, when the temperature drops to room temperature, the viscosity of the oil is still very low, most of which is due to the dilution of the oil during use.

How to check the quality of the current oil?
First look at the appearance:
1. The oil sample is milky white or misty, indicating that the oil has entered water;
2. The oil sample turns gray and may be contaminated by gasoline;
3. It turns black and is caused by the product of incomplete combustion of fuel.
Second, look at the smell:
1. The pungent smell indicates that the engine oil is oxidized by high temperature;
2. The heavy fuel smell indicates that it is seriously diluted by the fuel (a small amount of used oil has a normal fuel smell).

1. Oil drop spot test:
Drop a drop of engine oil onto the filter paper and observe the change of spots.
① The oil diffuses rapidly without sediment in the middle, indicating that the oil is normal;
② The oil diffuses slowly and deposits appear in the middle, indicating that the oil has become dirty and should be replaced in time.
2. Burst test:
Heat the thin metal sheet to above 110 ℃ and drop a drop of oil. If the oil bursts, it proves that the oil contains water. This method can detect more than 0.2% water content.
What are the reasons why the oil alarm light is on?
The oil lamp is on mainly due to insufficient oil pressure in the lubricating system, which is usually caused by the following reasons:
① The amount of oil in the oil pan is insufficient, and check whether there is oil leakage caused by loose sealing.
② The oil is diluted by fuel or the engine is overloaded and the operating temperature is too high, resulting in the oil viscosity thinning.
③ The oil passage is blocked or the oil is too dirty, which causes the oil supply of the lubrication system to be blocked.
④ The oil pump or oil pressure limiting valve or bypass valve is stuck and works poorly.
⑤ The fitting clearance of lubricating parts is too large, such as the crankshaft main bearing journal and bearing bush, connecting rod journal and bearing bush are seriously worn, or the bearing bush alloy is peeled off, resulting in too large clearance, which increases the oil leakage and reduces the oil pressure in the main oil gallery.
⑥ The oil pressure sensor is not working properly.
⑦ The viscosity of the oil is not selected correctly according to the climate and the working conditions of the engine.
The selection of oil with low viscosity will increase the oil leakage of lubricating parts and cause the main oil passage pressure to decrease. The selection of oil with high viscosity (especially in winter) will cause the difficulty of oil pump or oil filter to pass through, resulting in low system oil pressure.
